three essentials for authentic studies
Books
Written by Kabbalists who discovered the hidden part of reality step-by-step and wanted us to be able to do the same. They are a map from where we are, to a deeper layer that operates the reality we feel now. As with any new technology, we only need to learn how they work. Source texts include the Zohar, the writings of the ARI, Baal Hasulam, and the Rabash.
Teacher
A teacher in Kabbalah knows the secret of life, understands all the sciences and wisdom of this world, and how all of it aims us to our purpose. He has revealed the upper system the Kabbalists write about, and knows the steps a student must take to get there. Like a good GPS, the Kabbalist points out pitfalls along the way, adapting the ancient method to the students of his generation.
Environment
Throughout history all Kabbalists have taught and studied in groups. This spiritual environment is the means for development at hyperspeed. By establishing this spiritual accelerator, a person develops their initial point of desire to discover the source of life, from which the upper world Kabbalists speak of opens up. The authentic books, the teacher and others on the same path are like sun, rain and soil for a student’s spiritual potential.

The Kabbalists attain a complete thing.
Meaning, they are rewarded with attaining all of those degrees existing in reality, attainable to man,
and then it is considered that they have attained a complete thing, and that complete thing is called, “a soul.”
Baal HaSulam, “The Meaning of Conception and Birth”
